Cockroaches Injected With DNA Nanobots
16 Oct 2014 • news.discovery.com“This is the first time that biological therapy has been able to match how a computer processor works,” Ido Bachelet from Bar Ilan University’s Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials told New Scientist. Next, they said they plan to scale up the computing power that can be put inside a single cockroach — enough to equal a Commodore 64.
Forget the Apple Watch - I’ll take programmable nanobots with the processing power of a C64 any day of the week. The Commodore 64 was my first computer (when I was 6 years old). It wasn’t much… but to think one day nanobots will be as powerful kind of blows my mind. I guess it really shouldn’t surprise me.
