As for the fear that is driving this, I offer the words of Benjamin Franklin: “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
I was totally upset when reading this the other day but couldn’t collect my thoughts at the time. Here Gruber has gone and summed up my thoughts for me - and written them down even better than I could.
I hope people can see why a future with no real privacy is bad for everyone but I am afraid most actually can not.
