When your feelings for Git have passed infatuation and are already heading into unhealthy territory… and you want to push on right to the edge, here ya go. Think Redis, plus revisions, plus 1000x slower and you might have an idea.
The README includes no benchmarks.
And if a key-value store only leaves you hankering for more Git… Throw some BSON (or JSON) into the mix and go for the full on revision controlled No-SQL experience. Now that would be something. Key value stores are so 2009.
