Southwest Airlines offers iOS users $2 iMessaging
13 Dec 2013 • tuaw.comSouthwest Airlines just announced a new deal for iOS users. Instead of ponying up US$8 for all-day, in-flight WiFi, people with iPads or iPhones can get all-day iMessaging for $2.
Why not make it free? This feels like nickel and dime-ing. What a nice perk if Apple devices could just continue to communicate via iMessaging on any Southwest flight without even thinking about it?
The airline industry really needs to do something about this stupid race-to-the-bottom pricing that prevents anyone from offering real value-adds.
