All can deliver outsized returns of awe and beauty.

Coffee brewing is not this kind of an art.

Get a decent grinder and an AeroPress and just go for it. My grinder of choice (the first I bought) is from Marco's gift guide and works well enough that I haven't yet wondered what the twice as expensive option might do for me.

There are lots of variables you can play with and things you can tweak,but getting a great tasting cup of coffee just isn't that hard.
